Preparing for outdoor activities can be intimidating. You aren’t quite sure if you’re physically fit enough to go on that adventure. The planning can be overwhelming.

All the what-ifs begin to run through your mind. What if it’s too steep, too long, or just too difficult? What if I lose my balance and fall? What if I don’t have enough energy? What if I can’t keep up?

Don’t worry, we have you covered! Training for the Trails was created with you in mind. The yoga classes will strengthen your hiking and running muscles, increase mobility and stability to help prevent falls and sprains, and increase your stamina and breathing technique.

What our community

is saying

When I wanted to strengthen my core and improve my flexibility, at first trying yoga seemed like an intimidating option. I started watching Flow Into Nature’s videos, and even through a screen they made me feel welcome to try the class at whatever difficulty level I could participate at. Their instructions are very clear, they provide just enough guidance to stay focused, and I now include them as part of my overall fitness routine.

What’s special about Nicole and Alejandro’s yoga classes is the light, energy, and genuine support they bring as teachers. As a beginner yogi myself, Nicole and Alejandro embody true yogi teachers who embrace compassion, nonjudgement, and inclusivity. Time and time again, I always return not only to the mat, but to their classes because of how inclusive, safe, and fun they’ve made yoga for me as a student. Thank you both so much for spreading your love and light to me.

Feel strong, stable, and grateful on your next hike with Training for the Trails

“ When we connect with nature we are better able to connect with ourselves. ”

Disconnected from society, it’s just you, your breath, and the great outdoors. Hiking brings you into the present moment. Without the distractions of city life, you are able to focus on everything that is right in front of you: the sun on your face, the smell of pine trees and wet soil, the wind blowing in your hair, the sound of birds chirping up above and the beautiful earth all around. The to-do lists fade away and you are better able to listen inward. If you’re tired, you rest. If you’re hungry, you eat. If you want to swim, you find a river and jump in. Hiking allows you to let go and just be.

Similarly, yoga teaches you how to let go and just be in your body. The poses offer a point of focus, somewhere to concentrate your mind. The past and future anxieties fade away as you follow your breath to your movement. You move the body to still the mind, finding both mental and physical strength and flexibility. Yoga strengthens the connection to your body. You learn to feel your edge, breathe into it, easing into discomfort and releasing tension. All things to help you find peace in your daily life when you might not be able to escape into nature.

Know yourself. Be Yourself. Choose Happy!
